Executive Board & Committee Chairs
The governance of DMA's PTA is a cooperative venture between the Executive Board and the Executive Committee. The Executive Board consists the elected positions of President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary. The Executive Committee is made up volunteer PTA members that have taken on a leadership role as a Committee Chair or Co-Chair. The Executive Board is responsible for running the PTA's meetings and the daily operations of the PTA. The Executive Committee organizes and runs, in cooperation with the Executive Board and in adherence with our budget and bylaws, the events that DMA's PTA conducts and oversees.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
President - Jennifer Avery
Presides over board meetings and guides the PTA's daily operation. Executive Vice President - Sue Kressman/ Lee Sobocinski Assumes the President's duties in his/her absence. Communications Vice President - Jayce Leon Communicates to PTA events, news, and opportunities to donate or volunteer to members via email and SignUp Genius. Supports and updates the PTA website. Treasurer - Renee Hafer Keeps financial records Secretary - Megan O'Donnell Takes and distributes meeting minutes and attendance. |
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CHAIRS
Activities Committee - Diane Hedrick
Supports several cadet events, including boot camp picnic, dining in, winter dance, senior breakfast, and year-end picnic. Fundraising- OPEN Friday Lunch- Jen Avery Sells food every Friday at lunch. Designer Bag Bingo- Diane Hedrick Winners of bingo games win designer purses/bags Hospitality - Hilary Raptis Provides refreshments at several DMA celebratory events. Membership - Tami Soltow Conducts the annual PTA membership drive. Military Support - Anne Kuennen & Andrea Ziegler Assists DMA with annual Veteran's Day breakfast. The turkey drive at Thanksgiving time and supports local military, veterans, and their families. Staff Appreciation - OPEN Provides lunches and appreciation gifts to school staff. |
